The Missouri Grape & Wine Board and the Grape & Wine Institute (GWI), at the University of Missouri, started a new program in 2025 called the Wine Industry Standard of Excellence (WISE) Program. All wineries in the State of Missouri can submit wines throughout the year for evaluation. | |
| Each wine submitted goes through two different methods of testing: a qualitative test consisting of a blind tastings by wine experts and a quantitative test that analyzes the chemical make-up of each wine to look for flaws in the wine. If a wine passes both tests, it is awarded the GWI Quality Assurance Program’s WISE Choice sticker for use on wine labels, proving it has met the standards. |
We look forward to seeing you soon. Cheers!
